Recreational Classes

Our Recreational Programme caters for everyone, who is just starting out in the sport, as well as those with some experience in gymnastics. Recreational classes are based around fun, basic stretching and general fitness. They are usually 1-2 hours long and take place 2-3 times per week. You can choose to sign up your child for one or multiple classes per week. Gymnasts, who would like to prepare for entry into our Advanced Programme are advised to sign up for a minimum of 4 hours per week.

Competitive Classes

Our Competitive Programme is suitable for gymnasts, who are looking to master all fundamental skills and elements necessary for their further progression in the sport. This is a structured programme, which requires a certain level of dedication and commitment with the objective of joining our Squad Programme. Gymnasts are expected to attend a minimum of 6 hours per week in their designated group as advised by the coach. Club and local competitions will be introduced at this level.

Competitive Squad

Our Competitive Squad Program requires a much higher level of commitment and dedication in comparison to our Recreational Programme. Spaces on our Competitive Squad are limited and gymnasts, who would like to join this Programme have to pass our Competitive Squad Try Outs. Gymnasts in this squad represent the club at Regional and National events. In addition, they are expected to attend all club midterm training camps. Training sessions for gymnasts in this group take place 3-4 times per week (6-12 hours per week). Being able to juggle training sessions and all activities outside of the gym, including homework and studying for exams, becomes crucial. Skipping trainings usually is not an option unless there is a very valid reason.

High-Performance
Squad

The long-term objective for gymnasts in our High-Performance Squad Programme (HPS) Programme is to become an Elite Professional Gymnast and represent Great Britain internationally, therefore our expectation of the level of commitment is accordingly high. You can only join this Programme, if invited by the Head Coach for a monthly try out, followed by an offer of a permanent membership. The Head Coach will assess the gymnast’s natural qualities, her ability to keep continuous focus and consistently demonstrate hard-working attitude. Gymnasts are also selected based on their level of fitness and overall physical preparation, as well as their mental readiness to compete at this level. Being a member of our HPS Squad means spending a lot more time in the gym (17+ hours per week). In addition to club camps ran during school holidays, gymnasts in this group are expected to attend international training camps as well as all local, regional, national and international competitions.
